After doing her first ad for farex (kids food) she become popular and before turning into a lead bollywood actress she was having more than 300 commercials under her belt. Not only this but Aarti also won the Miss India Worldwide in 1999. This led to further offers for her from the Indian film industry. She made her debut as an actress in 2001 film Lajja. Though she did a cameo but it started her journey as an actress. She became more popular after appearing in several music videos of singers as Adnan sami and Sukhwinder singh.
